Today the final appointment of the Energy Days, within the Green Social Festival, with the GovernEE project

    

4th May 2012, Bologna: Hosted in the Italian renaissance city’s oldest historic locations such as Palazzo Merendoni, Oratorio San Filippo Neri and Quartiere San Vitale, the circle of conference organized on 2nd, 3rd and 4th May along GovernEE’s “Energy Days” has been addressing citizens on sustainable energy use in public buildings and on the general issue of sustainable living on a “space hit” Earth. Public debates are driven by Professors Marco Setti and Vincenzo Balzani from Bologna University as well as Alberto Piancastelli and Anna Pasini, Architects. Organized by the Municipality of Bologna, as GovernEE’s project partner, Energy Days Final event opening today under the welcome of Patrizia Gabellini, Councillor for Urban planning & Environment of the Municipality of Bologna, is dedicated to energy conservation & retrofitting in historic buildings. A showroom, displayed to inform and educate the broader public, has been proactively involving city dwellers during campaign days to realize unsustainable habits and how changes can be made.
Central Europe project “GovernEE”  (www.governeeproject.eu) closes its first series of campaign days in its Italian partner city Bologna, directing the public’s attention to improved governance schemes for energy management of public buildings, especially in historic buildings.

Public conference will honor as a special guest the European project 3ENCULT (www.3encult.eu) also working on finding solutions & products to improve energy efficiency in historic buildings. 3ENCULT is a partnership of 22 Universities, public bodies, research centers and companies across 10 European countries.
